Selecting the Right Credit Card
How can you select the best credit card for you?
- Apply for a card that doesn't require an annual fee.
- Choose the credit card offer with the best introductory interest rate.
- Select the credit card with the lowest APR.
"C" is usually the best approach. However, if you're one of the 30% of Americans who pay your entire credit card balance each month, other features may prove equally as important as the APR. When choosing a credit card, be aware: Introductory or "teaser" rates generally change to higher interest rates down the road. Don't automatically discount credit cards that require an annual fee; they may offer other benefits. Before applying, consider several offers. Compare their fees, charges, and other features.
