managing and protecting credit card

When to Use Your Credit Card

A credit card is a financial tool. Which of these three occasions is a great time to use one?

  1. To pay for your coffee each morning at the local convenience store.

  2. To buy last-minute groceries and flowers for a romantic meal.

  3. To rent a car when you're on vacation.

"C" is the best answer. Many car rental companies and hotels require a credit card when they book your reservation. Paying with a credit card makes it easier to track vacation expenses. Your credit card company may even offer cash-back travel rewards. Credit cards also provide protection if expensive products (appliances, electronics, etc.) turn out to be defective and are helpful in emergencies, such as if your car breaks down.
