Salespeople sometimes appear on your doorstep with tempting opportunities. How can you save time, money, and aggravation and avoid being scammed?

  1. Always begin by asking to see identification.
  2. Before making a purchase, check out the person’s company or organization with the Better Business Bureau.
  3. Don’t sign contracts that don’t include the seller’s name, organization, and physical address or that have blank spaces.

These are ALL good practices. Also void being pressured into making hasty decisions. Read the sales contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure you understand any terms and conditions included.
