Information Disclosure Rule

The FTC MARS Rule also requires companies to clearly disclose important information in their telemarketing calls or advertisements. By law, what are they required to disclose?

1. That they are only working to improve your well being
2. That they are interested in making profits
3. That they are not associated with the government and their services have not been approved by the government or your lender

“C” is correct. They also have to disclose that your lender may not agree to change your loan. If the company tells you to stop paying your mortgage, it also has to explain that doing so may result in your losing your home and ruining your credit. Companies are not allowed to tell you to stop talking to your lender.
